The hardware that Dorman sends you with this is TOO BIG FOR THE FRAME HOLES. They require drilling, which makes zero sense whatsoever. I'll save the hardware and washers, they won't go to waste but this is not a load bearing structural frame rail. Its basic function is to hold up the front tank strap and one exhaust hanger. Don't start boring away spraying Kroil in your eyes..don't take away your original frame for this, don't burn up your day, and don't buy and waste drill bits. These holes are right next to the fuel and brake lines. You'd also be drilling up and at an angle..Yeah drill bits don't necessarily love that, or your wrist for that matter. An unnecessary amount of work and risk. I went and purchased slightly smaller grade 8 nuts and bolts at my hardware store and made it happen without drilling. I believe 3/8 x 1".Used a 4 1/2in angle grinder w a cut off wheel and a punch to cut the heads off and get the old rivets out, I highly recommend having a pneumatic hammer for that. I did mine from underneath - your punch needs to be long enough to extend beyond the bottom frame rail but still short enough gain a good swing on the punch. I also used a pickle fork to put some pressure between the old rail and the main frame to help the rivets pull out. I do this kind of stuff all the time, if you are an amateur I would recommend taking it to a shop and having a professional wash the old rivets out with a torch, don't work yourself into a bad spot doing this. And watch it with the flames and the fuel line!! I let mine drain out and tucked them all into the metal filler neck, I didn't disconnect that. And don't forget to snag an extra nut & bolt for your exhaust hanger, if it isn't rusted away too. If It is I would have that in hand and installed on the new rail before it heads back in. Plenty of clearance to maneuver the old one out and new one in. Having the hanger already installed helps you gain leverage to get the rubber back on the hook. Hawk Tua, right on the tip, also helps. Shoot some black spraypaint on the bare metal and give it a few minutes before you put the rail in. Nice metal, another good Dorman product but the bolt situation is diabolical. Fix yourselves. Cheers and good luck ppl.

This was not an exact fit for the original crossmember but was close enough to get the job done. Bolted up in place nicely narrower so the exhaust bracket that originally mounted into this bracket had no where to connect to. Exhaust is rigid enough that this should not cause any issues. Glad this item was still available.
