Everything fit, wired correctly and worked but stopped working yesterday (only 7 months of use, which is every 3 days since I have another vehicle as a daily driver). I bought this before, but it at least lasted a couple of years before it stopped working. I paid a bit more compared to cheaper alternative options on Amazon, so expected it to last longer.

Works as good as new. Slightly weird higher pitched sound for the lock/unlock mechanism compared to the other ones. Just something I noticed and didn’t expect.It is plug and play. It is a tight workspace and if you’re inexperience with breaking plastic clips this is a great time to learn.I POSSIBLY could have gotten away with just cleaning the rod as much as possible. My problem was the door lock wasn’t locking unless I hit the remote button twice. I replaced this and cleaned the rod and it’s not been a problem since.

The situation: When putting the truck in gear, the driver door ajar warning would come up, the door open alarm sounding repeatedly, the door locks continously cycling through lock/unlock, interior lights and radio won't turn off until batteries go dead.I have tried adjusting the latch and strikeplate, spraying lubricant in the latch (which worked for 2 days), and disconnecting the sensor in the door.The remedy: replaced the latch with this product and all is good with the world again! 😀The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the coating on the latch that meets the strikeplate in the door jamb had a defect/sheered spot in it where bare metal was exposed.
