Should have been easy to install except that I got in a hurry and one of the very special bolts fell into the inside of the door. So I had to take the door panel off which made the job twice as long. That particular bolt or screw is a real oddball. I'm sure it's not available down at the local hardware or even auto parts store. My fault as I really needed a second person to hold the mirror in place while I installed the screws. The other thing was that I had to use the original felt matting, not the hard plastic version that comes with the mirror. It didn't allow the screws to reach the threaded portion of the mirror to be able to tighten things up correctly. No problem except the time it took to try doing it the wrong way first. Save the felt-like inside liner when you remove the old mirror, just in case!

I was fixing the driver's window regulator while my wife put this on. She knocked it out and then it fell off the bolt. There isn't the proper insert for the proper bolt into. I made due with some jb weld since it's for a teen. If I had a really nice looking car, I would have been pissed.

I brushed up against a tree last month and hit my driver side mirror right off. Looked around but most replacements were pretty expensive around $40, so I waited a few weeks but then saw this. I bought it used, presumably as a return for $8, pretty good deal but it did have a slight chip in it. If you buy new I'm guessing it wont be like that. Didn't come with instructions but that's okay. Not super easy to install but I'd blame Ford for that. And I did have to get some strong glue to keep all the sides down right.
