1996 Cherokee XJ —- Problem? Only Hi speed works the climate fan.Solution; This Resistor Kit by Dorman (PN/973-441 HVAC Blower Motor Resistor Kit).EXACT replacement parts and fit for the failed one. EZ to install and it’s so rewarding to have all four fan speeds now operational again. Next day delivery, parts look identical to OEM and hard to believe for under $15 and 45 minutes of my time, the problem is fixed. Does it get much better?

I had to remove the metal cage on it in order for it to fit the airbox. It did fit, was easy to install and appears to be good quality. My heater now works on all speeds. I still ordered a blower motor and will be changing that out as well.

The blower motor in my awesome Jeep Cherokee only had one speed suddenly one day after near 20 years of good service to me so I ordered this baby. Fit perfectly and I didn't need the included wiring harness. I can now choose what speed I want instead of the Jeep dictating things.

Works perfect. Included pigtail and crimp/shrink connectors. Used this and a 4 speed fan switch to replace the resistor and switch in a VW Vanagon.
