Used this product to replace the master cylinder during my entire clutch system overhaul on my 1988 Jeep Comanche with the BA 10/5 5 speed tranny. Immediately after installed I noticed a leak on the cab side from where the piston passes through the firewall into the cylinder. This leak was dripping clutch fluid ONTO MY FUSE BOX. This product is creating a major fire and safety hazard for me. Will never cheap out on parts again.

I replaced the entire Clutch system in my 1987 Jeep Cherokee. When I opened the box I had high hopes the unit looked solid, fit perfectly and was fairly easy to change out. Got everything set up on it got the unit bled and it held pressure for about a day. After that it kept losing pressure everytime I bled it unless I pumped the clutch quickly non stop for a couple minutes but then it lost pressure the next minute. At first I thought I had an air leak in my clutch line but further inspection showed that the line was intact. However in the reservoir of this master cylinder the fluid had metallic residue floating in it and then every time you pumped the clutch the fluid would just rise up in the reservoir. It was not pumping any pressure into the line. The next day I pulled this Cylinder out and replaced it with a $60 unit from NAPA and have not had an issue since. If you want a reliable system spend some extra money on a good quality unit not this piece of junk.
