Firstly, I am a 50 something engineer having extensive auto mechanic abilities since my teens.Just over a month after install it failed on sons drive home from school. As the dealer was less than one mile away it was taken there as it was a weekday and home was 10+ miles away. I had also replaced slave cylinder and pedal assy (fatigued/cracked) earlier so I was puzzled.Dealer quickly determined it was this master cylinder, and promptly charged $300+, but graciously gave a discount.Learned from family friend we purchased our Miata from (and races national level spec Miata) just because the part is made in USA doesn't mean the internals are not sourced elsewhere.DON'T CHEAP OUT, BUY THE OEM!

I replaced leaking clutch and it worked properly after bleeding and adjusting the pedal rod

Installed on my 2006 Miata along with slave cylinder. After install I couldn't get clutch to bleed. Found out there is a nut behind the clutch pedal that needed adjustment to allow full range of motion so the clutch system could bleed.
