perfect fit for my 1996 dodge ram 1500 2wd single cab, short bed truck. Hardest part is getting the old hose off.

This fit perfectly and performed as designed. One note on the copper crush washers that will help you out if the castings of the calipers are a little rough, don't over-tighten the banjo bolts, a light to medium tap on the head of the banjo bolt with a hammer will allow you to tighten the banjo bolt down a little more without risking breaking it. You can get a leak at that joint under hydro-boosted brake pressure, so re-inspect after test drive. Again this is no fault of Dorman, just a 'mechanic's tip' for avoiding issues with rough castings.

These Dorman brake hoses do not come with the copper sealing washers. I bought 3 hoses and none of them included the leak proof copper washers, also most auto parts stores do not stock them.
