Looks factory. Had a little trouble getting one of them screwed in but eventually got it. Works great.

Great for on the 2005 Ford Escape 4wd with the V6. If you haven't changed yours yet, you are on less then borrowed time as the factory ones will fail.

Installed these on a 2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid (Ford Escape Hybrid). They installed easily to replace the blown factory lines. If you are a do-it-yourself person and your original line blew and emptied your master cylinder, you can bleed the system yourself with a pressure bleeder and ForScan Android app. It takes a gallon of fluid to do the whole car.

I had one front brake hose on my Ford Escape Hybrid start leaking. I didn't know that was a wear item until it happened to me, then I investigated and see it's common. So I changed it out with a part from the local auto store, it worked fine. Then I ordered this one since I figured the one on the other side was probably going too (it was). It is a fairly easy repair, but this one got me. I put it on and it didn't work. I applied suction, and very little fluid came through. After about an hour of messing around, I decided to take it off, blow it out (in case there was some little bits of rubber or something in the line from manufacturing) and that seemed to do it. So my advice is before you put this on, blow through it. When you put it on; put it on the "wet" side first (closest to the vehicle where the brake fluid line is flowing) and wait until you see some fluid come through, then finish the install. After install, it worked great. The rear brake hoses did not show similar wear, btw.

Great deal. Less than half of the price my local parts store sells these for. I didn't realize that the brake lines are a maintenance problem on Ford Escapes. The brake lines crack and eventually break. All the brake lines on my 2007 had cracked and one broke open and left me without breaks. There is a good You Tube video on line showing in detail how to change these. It is relatively easy to do if you have some mechanical skills.
