I have a GMC 2500hd and I developed intermittent brake failure that caused me some issues. When i drove it on hot days I would sometimes loose my brakes with the pedal going almost to the floor. GM uses the power steering pump to supply pressure to the booster that gives you the power brakes. Not a good system in my opinion, if you lose the pump you lose the brakes and the steering. The steering was working, I had no leaks so I changed the booster which seemed to fix the issue for a while but then I had the same issues again. I had 160,000 miles on the vehicle so after talking with some folks in the know who where also scratching their head I changed the master cylinder and bleed the brakes with new fluid and the problem is fixed. This part worked great, it came with everything I needed just make sure you bleed it properly before install and bleed the brakes afterwards and you should be good to go.
