I got these for scuba diving. Overall, the metal seems to be a decent quality 316 stainless and they're machined fairly well with no sharp edges.The only real negative I have with these is that the bolt snap action doesn't flow smoothly. When you press the button to lower the gate, it feels like the gate catches and grabs slightly. It's not enough to cause a problem.... yet, but I question how well these will work after a few muck dives where sand and silt gets into the mechanism.Bottom line: adequate, but there are better quality options out there.

This was advertised as coming with two, and the packaging says 2 piece, but there was only one included. Other than that, this clip works well. Doesn't stick at all when opening and it is a good size for a variety of things. I got them for gate chains and it's worked well for that. It doesn’t feel flimsy like it'll snap with too much pressure. Overall works well for out in the barn.
