As the orange and purple hues of dawn started to paint the sky, young Lee and his grandfather, Pop, set off in their boat for a day of fishing on the Chesapeake Bay. They had done this countless times before, but today was different. Today, Young Lee would be stepping into the water to guide the boat onto the trailer, a rite of passage in the Behr Family. They spent the day catching fish, soaking up the sun, and enjoying stories from Pop's younger days. As the day ended, it was Lee's turn to take the boat back to shore. Feeling a mix of excitement and nerves as they entered the boat ramp, he stepped into the cold water, his grandpa's confident look giving him strength.
Fighting the cold and focusing, Lee managed to hook the boat to the trailer under Pop's watchful eye. That evening, as they drove back home with the boat trailing behind and Lee still soaked and shivering, Lee asked his grandfather if there was a better way of bringing to boat back onto the trailer….the “Behr Claw” began its foundation on this very day…

This is a solid pole for use on the boat. The method of locking in the extended length is better than others that have the twist method. These lock in solidly and allow you to exert some pull on the pole without them sliding. They also have stops at the end of each segment so you don't accidentally pull the segments apart. The hook on the end is solid and should withstand the strain of pulling the boat to a dock. What is also nice is the screw end where you screw the hook on is a standard size for using a brush so you can use the pole with a bush to clean the deck or the sides of the boat.

This pole is very versatile, and I often use products like this for many other uses, which are unintended. The two locking mechanisms works smoothly, and hold well. The construction and finish are top notch, and the hook at the bottom is very useful.5/5

PACKAGINGThe pole was sufficiently was packaged in a non-retail corrugated box wrapped in clear plastic and ample bubble wrap to protect – nicely done.DESIGN, LOOK, FEELI was impressed with the quality of sky blue metallic paint finish. The pole is solid, yet lightweight (just shy of 23 ozs.), but not flimsy even after the pole was extended from 36” to full extension of 87” tip-to-tip.FEATURES, FUNCTIONThe plastic flip locks were snug and easy to operate and both the ¾-5” thread and grab hook attachments were fitted solidy in place. There was no looseness in lifting a full gallon of paint with the hook attachment.SUMMARYPerhaps the only downside to this double-Sided Heavy-Duty Aluminum Telescopic Extension Pole is the price point. Because it’s a tool that will be used for various task around the home, including painting, gutter cleaning, etc. it would be nice to have a non-painted version at a lower price point.

Secure and solid yet lightweight and easy to maneuver. This says really good quality. It easily extends locks into place. The connectors are smooth and well machines so it was easy to any acne threaded accessories. The snap locks are smooth and easy to use. No pinching this is absolutely perfect for my claw hook.

Oh the projects i'll accomplish with this bad boy. It's nice and long and will do well for the paint jobs I have. It will also work well for when I need to wash my large car since it can easily cover a lot of area in one stroke. It also looks cool and feels very sturdy. 100% recommend this.

I ordered this for around the house use, not boating, and I'm not disappointed. I've got high ceilings and large windows and have used similar poles for dusting, changing light bulbs, cleaning windows, painting, etc. The old pole, while lighter, had a terrible mechanism for extending and locking that often resulted in the need for pliers to release it. This pole has a very nice flip lock mechanism that's much simpler and more reliable. The hook on the opposite end adds some extra versatility. The quality of material and the finish are high end so you know you are getting what you pay for. The pole was also very well packaged, adding to the impression that the manufacturer/seller cares about what they're doing.

This Behr professional painter's pole is very sturdy and well designed. The product is built from high quality materials and feels like it would last a lifetime with care. I appreciate how light the extension is while also being quite strong, perfect for long days painting walls and ceilings! The extension pole has a standard acme thread on one end for paint roller handles, and a generic hook on the opposite end to hang it on a peg or similar for storage. Overall this is a very good product, my only critique is that at this price they should have included some soft hand grips on the pole for added comfort.
