Since I have bad skiers knees I decided to give the down pads a try. I planed to use them when snowshoeing. The fit is just OK even though I am a smallish person and have average to small sized knees. However I tried them while walking outside in below freezing temperature and my knees did not feel well protected or warm. The 3 clips around the knee itself must be well secured so the pads do not slide. However the middle clip manages to compress the down so that there is little insulation
