these work as intended. make sure they fit your stanchions, not all bikes use the same size! installed, these are pretty sturdy although I wouldn't use them for serious off-roading. they use less material overall than other mounts so I could see heavy lights bending or breaking them in extreme conditions. they're perfect for my light adv use though.

Overall these are pretty nice but at least my set suffer from a pretty large issue which is that one of the holes is drilled off-center. This wouldn't be a huge issue except for that it's the side that that has the grooved edge that is meant to keep the nut in place while you tighten with the included hex/allen key. You can still get it tightened down but it will damage the metal mount slightly as you tighten it down and means that you need to use a wrench or socket to hold the nut and prevent it from spinning.
