I was so excited when I got my inks as I have heard very nice things from many calligraphers on using Dr. Ph. Martin's inks! I got the Copperplate Gold and this Iridescent White. They both looked like they had been on the shelves for a while, but at least after lots of mixing, the Gold ink worked well.The Iridescent White, however, is too thick, it does not flow easily on the nib unless you dilute with water and keep on stirring every few minutes. The dropper on the white ink does not work as well. It looks clogged with the same old ink. I am a bit disappointed as I was really looking forward to using this beautiful shade of pearly white.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Not a ton of options for pearlescent pen ink but this is great. Really appreciated it comes with an eye dropper

I was picturing silver linings on all my clouds; shimmering bubbles around all my tropical fish and mermaids; pearlescent curlicues on all my dark envelopes...NOPE. Impossible.This stuff has to be diluted with water to even use it with a lining brush, never mind a fountain pen. Not going to happen. I tried it with a glass pen and a metal nib. Nope. NOPE-ITY NOPE.The one redeeming quality is the dropper. I suppose you could do an homage to Jackson Pollock... or if you have one of those spinny splatter wheel paint toys from the 80's...Save yourself the money and just buy white craft grade acrylic, because there is absolutely no difference. Ugh.

I didn't have any problems with this ink like others. Even buying this kind of ink from a store a lot of times you have to shake it for like 5 minutes rigorously to get it well mixed. Even ink I don't use for a short time I have to shake for awhile. Very satisfied with this product.
