I used these as gaskets to plug the four small holes at the back of my kitchen sink (the ones for extra fixture hoses to come through). The sink came with flimsy foam gaskets which failed because both they and the hole plugs were only slightly larger than the sink holes. The sink was just a cheap disaster all around. These silicone gaskets are a little too big, but they work definitively and I haven't had any leaks into the cabinet underneath since then.(I know that's not what these are for)The material is slightly squishy so they deform to seal what you put them in.

Appears to be a good product and it should work well.

None of the big box stores had what I needed. I found these and figured I'd give them a shot. Voila! Sink fixed, no more leak, everyone is happy. And, two kits for 10 bucks. What's not to like? Of course, I just installed them today, so will they hold up over time? We'll see!

Recently we picked up a Moen faucet that included a pop-up sink drain. The old drain had a stopper with a mechanical linkage system, and never leaked. When I put in the Moen pop-up sink drain with the included hard rubber lower drain seal, no matter how much I tightened the drain nut the sink was leaking where the rubber seal meets the nut and the sink bowl. Many forums that I read recommended using plumbers putty and creating a seal, which I tried but it failed to maintain an adequate seal. Another forum post recommended that I replace the Moen pop-up sink drain with another drain, but I didn’t feel like spending an additional $50-$75 for two drains that I was working with. That same post mentioned that the replacement sink drain assembly had a silicone seal versus a rubber seal, providing a much better seal with the sink bowl. For about $11 shipped, I figured I wasn’t loosing much money or sleep trying this out and sure enough the lower drain seal fit and no more leaking. The kit came with a top seal and a lower convex seal. I did not have to use the top seal as the rubber seal that I already had was about adequate in holding water in the sink bowl without leaking. Give this a try before buying a whole new sink drain!

The one that did work I have nothing bad to say it fit it sealed it did exactly what it was supposed to do. Thankfully I still had one good seal from the previous set that was usable so the other seal not fitting or working was not a problem.

I cleaned out the sink, and the original seal stopped working. I replaced it with this set. It is a silicone ring that is slightly larger than described. It is visible after install and does raise the drain cover up, so water does sit in the bottom instead of fully draining. It does seal it completely though. It’s a simple leak fix for a good price.
