I've decided browns aren't for me, but these are great switches.

I got these switches for a macro pad project and they should work fine for me. They are basic "brown" switches, so they are tactile but are quieter than clicky blue switches. These are good for places where you want to keep the profile of the keypad to a minimum, but still want to have the advantages of mechanical keyswitches, namely the feel. They are definitely shorter than "normal" keyswitches, but the total difference in height is only about 8mm. It's not game-changing, but if you need low profile keys, you can't get mechanical switches that will sit much shorter than these. These also have cutouts to shine a light on the circuit board under the switch through to light up the keycap or an indicator. The stem is different from other Cherry MX compatible switches I've tried...it has the standard cross, but then also a circle around it. I tested with a set of regular Cherry keycaps I had and those caps still worked on these switches. My guess is that these are compatible with keycaps that follow the Cherry specifications. However, I can easily imagine how these could be incompatible with keycaps that did not follow the full spec, and were lazy and just made the cross connector without a circle stem, or making the circle the wrong size. In other words, if you have quality keycaps, I think these switches will be fine, but you may need to test them to be sure.

These are perfectly fine low-profile, tactile switches. They have a noticeable tactile bump but are smooth to actuate. They seem solid and have good build quality. I had no bent pins in my sample set.

Swapped these into my Nuphy Air 75 (low-profile mechanical keyboard), which originally came with clicky switches and although I do like the tactile feedback that blue switches have, I now use this keyboard at my office desk and needed the keyboard to be less noisy when typing. These brown/tactile switches still give me some feedback while typing, it doesn’t have the audible click sound that happens every time I press down on a key switch.Installing these was easy, I did have to mix and match with some gateron low-profile switches I already had, because this product doesn’t include enough to replace all the switches on any size of standard keyboard. Since both were brown switches, I wasn’t able to notice much difference between the Kailh switches and the others. But I’m happy with my keyboard now, typing still feels great but without the annoying sound while typing.

I'd like to build custom keyboards and mess around with them, I have a wide rive switches and I even use multiple in the same build, but I've yet they'll mess around with any of these low profile switches that are starting to become popular on the market. Please note that you can't use your standard key cap switches for these, you're going to need low profile ones to go with them, so keep that in mind if you want these!I guess because of their size, these nowhere have the sound profile of a cherry mx brown switch which is nice because I get a similar feeling tactile bump without the added sound, which made you he do to the travel or size of the switch, but I'm not complaining!

Got these to repair a older board for a warehouse. They have a decent feel to them and didn't need to be lubed. No real scratchiness and the tactile bump can be felt while you type. The dust sleeve keeps the key wiggle to a minimum so you get a more comfortable experience.

These mechanical switches are quieter than I was expecting. The brown switches provide a nice bump when pressed, but don't give an audible click which will make the work well in an office environment, or if you are doing nay kind of video/audio production. I am actually planning to use these in a custom game control setup like a custom hitbox or fight stick, but these will be used as additional buttons on the device, not the action buttons. This 10 pack of these switches is worth the $9.99 price tag, in my opinion and they will probably work for what I intend to use them for. Even if they don't, I will have other projects they can go in later.
