Been an awesome fit on my 2012 outback. Had it on for almost 5 months now and no sign of rust or wear whatsoever. Really no hardware needed for this as it's designed to use the existing mounting bolts and nuts that hold on your bumper. No adjustments had to be made just pop off the bumper put this up and put the bumper back on over it with the nuts your car comes with. No need for adjustment or alignment and it has been holding up a swinging tire hitch no problem. If you install it yourself just be prepared for that hold your breath moment as you peel the plastic bumper off and hope none of the clips break! Otherwise crazy easy to install. My only recommendation is that the template to cut out a small hole on the bumper underneath so the hitch can fit is that the template is too small and I ended up taking about an inch and a half extra off for depth for a more perfect fit

Everything as described and intended. Took about 2 hrs to install, be ready to do some cutting/trimming at the bottom of the bumper.

Installed this on my 2010 Outback. Everything was pretty straightforward, but the included instructions on where to trim the bumper fascia were incorrect. I ended up having to trim additional material off of the passenger side and to make it about 1" deeper than instructed to accommodate the hitch. This also leaves a pretty big gap on the driver side. Ultimately, it's under the car and I'm the only one who will ever know - but if I had to do it again, I'd have a helper assist me in hold the fascia up to manually mark where it needs to be trimmed left/right, and make the depth 5.5".

Fairly easy install if you Google for videos on removing the rear fascia and bumper cover. Nice welds, even paint coating. Trimming of the bumper cover is definitely necessary.

Perfect fit, replaces sub bumper. Very little modification to bumper skin, which is removed for installation. Very happy with finale look.

I have a 2018 Subaru outback that did not come with a trailer hitch. I was going to go to U-Haul to have one installed but didn’t wanna spend the $450. I watched a YouTube video on doing it myself and found it was gonna be an easy process. After some quick research on Amazon, I found this product at a very reasonable price. It shipped in one day, and had almost everything I needed for the install. The only part I wish it came with was a template for cutting into the bottom side of the rear bumper. Everything else was a breeze to do. It’s an extremely strong hitch and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

I’ve had other hitches but this model Draw-tite is the best and easiest to install. Once the fascia is off (this is also waaay easier than it seems!) it has eight bolts that need to be removed, bumper off, hitch on, bumper on, bolts replaced, fascia on, DONE!NOTE: Some fascias need a little of the plastic cut out for the receiver, still very easy.Additionally, the receiver has rounded edges so you’re not digging into your shins.

The hitch was fairly easy to install on a 2017 Outback.Hardest job was getting all the plastic push pinsout of the rear bumper cover. You just have to take your time.Hitch bolted on with no hassles. You need a long extension to reachthe nuts on the Bumper.

Heavy piece of solid metal and strong looking welds. Installation was simple - just go to www.etrailer.com and search for this hitch, they have a video guide for installation. I wanted this type of hitch, because I didn't want to drill holes to my car that are required for most other hitches installation.I have a 2-bike carrier installed and it is great, I can even open rear door. Thanks to no-rattle hitch pin on the carrier (i.e. bolt) it is perfectly stable. The only thing - the bike carrier has 1.25 inch tongue, so I had to get a adapter. I searched a lot and didn't like all the extension adapters that add length, I just wanted a sleeve. In the end I ordered a spare from canadian Thule, part no. 8537489 that arrived quickly and does the job perfectly.
