Purchased this fishing kit for my go bag. The kit arrived in a plastic bag with some of the items still in the original package inside the plastic bag. The products need to be removed from its original packaging and added into the pill shaped plastic container. The huge problem with this process is the fishing line. It arrives in one piece, in three separate bundles, and each singly attached with one piece of tape. Trying to find the tape is troublesome but the worst part is it becomes a rat's nest in no time and impossible to unwind. It would be better if it was just wrapped around cardboard or a plastic piece. I cannot attest to the durability since I have not used it and will be sending it back.

Youre going to lose a lot of fishing line trying to unspool the bundles it gives. caught one fish with one of the lures though. I will be upgrading to a travel size reel with similar weight

The functional portion is great! I only gave it a 4 because of the lid and body were not the best fit after opening to test the product! This is a light weight and good size to throw in a survival pack.

I got this for a survival bag I'm putting together but I'm not confident it will perform when I need it most. First, what I like about it. The lures look and feel like a good value and probably alone are worth the price. I love the concept and the extra elastic band is really needed. It came with plenty of fishing line but you're better off with only a third, which is one coil. The lanyard is also very nice. Now for what frustrated me. I spent hours working through a major birds nest when I tried to coil the string and when I attached it according to the instructions it came off the first time I opened the storage. I also found the container opens way too easy. I imagine any sizeable fish would take the whole top portion of the container. I ended up putting a small hole in the container to tie the line off and used duct tape to keep the lid on. I do like the lanyard but the rubber part you tie it to does not seem like it will last. I also added a few swivels to my kit because the line really wants to tangle. So why the high rating? I still really like it and feel it's worth the price.
