At first I was skeptical and I thought it should work based on what I saw. After using it a few times to hold my dubbing and hackle loops, I can say it works. It's very useful if you're adding multiple materials to a dubbing loop. So you make your dubbing loop, use a dubbing loop tool to hold the loop, add material, twist a little too hold the material, add the clip to hold, then repeat down the loop. Even if the loop unwinds a little, its still able to keep the material in place. After you're done adding material, remove the clips and twist the whole thing. Fix the material in the loop (plucking out material) and then wrap it around the hook. Tie it off and cut the excess.
