I tried the Power Pole drift paddle on Matagorda Bay in Texas on my 21 foot center console bay boat. The wind was blowing around 10 mph. I monitored my drift speed using the GPS and saw a 50-60% reduction in drift with the paddle totally in the water. I was able to maintain my position much longer in a trout school being worked by gulls.
