This was very easy to assemble and is lightweight, easy to move from room to room. Dialing the measurements was straightforward. Overall a good product. My only issue is the protruding pin that is meant to hold the centre rods together is made of plastic and was pushed in too far and the pole cannot be "locked" in place. Every time I pick it up to move it I need to hold the top and the bottom to ensure it does not separate.

I'm a seamstress, my old Dianna that I inherited from my Mom was falling apart (that just won't do!)... This one from Dritz is exactly the same (except for the colour)... The turn-knobs are just as testy... You just have to be patient & adjust them one at at time, one adjustment at a time & soon enough it’s all done to perfection! There’s even an hemming aid! I started using it right away on a project that I was already working on!

I haven't had a chance to actually use it yet so I can't speak to durability. It went together pretty easily though. Make sure you're making adjustments a little at a time and not all at once on a single dial. I had to sort of make small adjustments rotating around the form until they were where I needed them to be. (Don't forget the small adjusters on the sides that aren't big dials.) Instructions aren't elaborate but fairly easy to figure out. Matches my measurements perfectly. Can't wait to give it a try!Edit: I've been using my dress form for a few months now. Something to consider especially if you're new to draping like I am, not having set centerseams (or seam lines anywhere actually) can make it rather difficult to get your lines right. There are gaps at the center and sides where your pins would normally go. So there are zero guiding seams in your dress form to follow/trace as you drape. You'll have to map them out on her with tape or similar if you need them. And the depth at which you can push the pin in is very shallow. Thus the tiny pin cushion that's included in the neck. Just a learning curve really, but something I didn't really consider starting out. All in all I would buy it again!

The item is true to size. The dials work great. I have constructed a few garments now and the convenience of this dress form has made my life "sew" much easier. I would recommend this to anyone who is new to sewing & sews as a hobby. I am not sure if this would suit a professional as I am not a professional, thus I can not comment. This dressform is light and extremely easy to move around or carry. The item was delivered within 3 days which was also a plus. I like this brand and I will definitely recommend or purchase from again without hesitation. Oh, Just one more very important point to make ( I am sure you the reader will appreciate) is that the proportions are great. For example, the bust is spot on. Sometimes I buy an article of clothing and put it on and wonder what mannequin was used to construct the garment because it doesn't fit right at all. You can rest assured that this dressform will not give you that problem. I have attached a photo of the garment I made on Feb 7th, 2016. I am writing this post Feb 10th. 2016.

I have been wanting a dress form for some time. I knit and it is very nice to be able to size sweaters as I go and also to have a form to photograph finished objects. The challenge I've found with many of the dress forms is the shaping doesn't work with my figure. With many other forms, the expectation is that the buyer has an hourglass shape, so to get a form that fits, one must either buy very small and seriously pad out the form or buy too large. If you have more of a straight shape, this might be the form for you. I am a bit busty, but don't have a large underbust measurement) and have a bit of a wide waist, but slender hips. I appreciated being able to set the form to have a bit wider waist and bust, but still allowing for slender hips...basically less of a curvy, hourglass figure. Otherwise I would have been stuck buying the large size dress form, which I would not have been able to adjust for my size at all (because the bust size minimum was already larger than my own bust. Since sweater sizing is based on bust measurement, that would not have been helpful. This particular form is very adjustable, allowing for adjustments between sizes. It also swivels, making fit adjustments easy. I've been very happy so far.

She arrived the day after i ordered. It took only 20 minutes to set her up. I read a lot of reviews before I ordered and I decided that if treated her gently (as a lady should be) AND gradually adjusted the dials as directed, she would give me many years of service. The price is reasonable. She is not indestructible as some reviewers seem to think she should be by their complaints and calling her "cheap and flimsy". We are talking about a dress form that adjusts and I have to defend her honor by saying she is much more sturdily constructed than I expected (from those who gave unfavorable reviews). She is lightweight, easy to move, and the squeeze button dials for adjusting are simple enough. The instruction sheet (with illustrations) explains very thoroughly how to assemble, take body measurements, adjust the form, how to use the hem marker and tips for any additional fitting adjustments you might need. I think I should name her "Patience".

Original review "Hmmmm, little undecided on this..." posted January 11, 2012:I just bought this for personal use and it was delivered last night. Upon first look, eh...not to shabby but certainly not great. The knobs are made of plastic and it comes set on the 2nd setting. When trying to adjust to the smallest setting...it won't budge. I don't know why they wouldn't ship it out on the smallest setting. Then, I was looking at it and it said it was at the 43" bust but it really didn't look like it'd be 43". So I take out my measuring tape and low and behold it's no where near 43", if I recall it was at 39". So beware...there sizes run smaller than what they state on the description, which was fine for me because I was sorta in between the small and the medium size forms. I have been looking for a good dress form for awhile now and settled on this one which was one of the more expensive and better reviewed but after getting it, I don't see how this one was any different than the others I looked at, with exception to the better bust form. A few others had too gradual of a slope from the breast to the waist, which I really wanted to make sure I got one with an appropriate form to my own. Anyway, I haven't actually gotten to use this yet. I will update this review once I do but I wanted to give my initial thoughts upon receiving the item. Hope this is helpful to some. :)UPDATED June 6th, 2013:Still have this dress form and I must say it's very sturdy and reliable. I use Velcro which sticks nicely to the form, to help keep my fabric in place while pinning or adjusting fabric. You can't really pin directly to it, I wish it had more of a softer exterior but like I said, the Velcro works. The adjustment knobs loosen up after you have it for awhile, at first they were very stiff and hard to cooperate, lol. A couple times I wanted to pitch it out of my window...but this doesn't happen anymore. ;-) The stand is extremely sturdy, no balance issues and I am pretty tough on my equipment. I never use the dress hook but I typically only work on tops not dresses. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend to anyone. Including novice to advanced seamstresses.
