Stock Idler Pulley Cover will not fit on this idler pulley on a 2017 WRX . I started the car, the stock pulley cover that will not fit properly on this pulley, instantly glows bright red and throws spark and burns the pulley metal itself. lucky for me i was able to shut the car off before any damage was caused. Tried a cheaper option and nearly paid the price warning to buyers to fully check stock items vs this item.

Will not fit 2012 Subaru Forester. First of all, the spacer / dust shield does not fit, as the diameter of the middle recess portion is smaller than the original pulley, so I was going to install the new pulley without the dust shield, as I see some forum saying the dust shield is not important because the bearing is sealed. After installation, I try to turn the pulley by hand, realized it does not turn smoothly, upon close look, they are slightly different depth, so the pulley was touching the engine very so slightly.
