Burned, once again, on an non-OEM part trying to save a few dollars. Bought this part to replace older carbon ring in my wife's 2004 GTX 155. Installation was normal, no red flags. Started it up on the trailer briefly, everything looked good. Took it down to the ramp and launched it, started leaking. Ran it for a few minutes to see if it just needed to wear in a bit, still leaking. Bad start. Took it back to the house to take a look at things. Ran my jetski on the hose to flush it out as I run on salt water and don't like it sitting in the system. After flushing, pulled back the cover and saw the ring had melted and was fused to the metal hat from running out of the water for about 45 seconds. This isn't supposed to happen. The metal hat is supposed to spin against the carbon ring, which is made from a material that is supposed to not melt. Can't recommend for leaking, warning others to stay away because of the melting.

Should have read the previous review. This was found beneath the seal. Do not save money with cheap products. These are not supposed to melt.
