It is only 25.4 at the center where it is clamped into the stem. Unfortunately is narrows to mountain bike rather than standard road bike thickness by the end. To use Shimano or Microshift bar end shifters the handlebars need to have a minimum of 19mm inside diameter, these are 17mm inside at the ends. These are attractive bars that may be fine for some applications, just not for anyone using barcons.
