I keep this hi-hat stand as a spare in my hardward gig bag. It's not very good to be honest, as from the first show I played with it I had problems with the hi hat staying open because the screw wouldn't hold. Pedal doesn't feel super tight either. It's nice to have for emergencies if my ludwig stand breaks, but I wouldn't mainline it. Having to check the screw between every song is just too much of a nuisance.

Pretty decent stand. My only complaint is that when I try to break it down and transport it, the two metal pegs holding the pedal up will sometimes stick and require extra force to detach from the base and fold up. Not a huge deal, but irksome at times.

Great stand. But when I forst got it the delivery guy was saying there was a hole in the box and stayed and made sure that there weren't any pieces missing so props to him. It feel great especially for 30 some $ maybe a little heavy when it comes to pedaling but I'm sure will work itself out over time. It also came two days earlier and arrived the same day as a couple prime packages I had ordered in the same invoice. Overall very impressed.

I'm just starting the drums. I mostly just bang on them, I bought this because it was pretty cheap. I am disappointed that I didn't get the drum key that was supposed to come with it, and it is 2-3 feet tall not 2-5 like it says in one part of the description. But it is an overall good product and I'm happy with it.

I bought this for my son, who is just starting out. It works o.k.. On the good side, it feels pretty sturdy, it's chain driven, however under even under moderate use, starts to rattle, become somewhat unstable. If you buy this, replace the high hat choke, as it will not stay tight on either the slide pole, and will loosen & drop the top high hat in the middle of your songs.For a practice stand only, and for a very light user only.
