DVD drive actually works, unlike the one that came with my laptop originally. Only reason its 4 stars instead of 5 is that I can't get it to read blu-rays. Not a major problem though because it's still a step up from not even being able to register i placed a CD in there.

I diligently shopped for a Blue-ray dvd online. And this Lite-On DS-4E1S SATA BD-ROM Blu-ray Combo from Amazon was hands-down the best value. I was thankful when I ordered it, and even more so when I installed and used it the first time. Thank you, Lie-on. And thank you, Amazon.

Worked for what I needed. Check graphic card capability. It will rip but not play because of my Graphic Card.

This worked perfectly for reading/ripping CDs, DVDs, and Blurays in my HP G72 as a replacement drive for the original.I dropped my laptop with the original drive open, it bent and wouldnt work. So I looked for a replacement and this was the cheapest. I was a bit skeptical because of the low price and few reviews, but it installed easily, was recognized and functions. in fact it is quicker and quieter than the original HP.I havent used it to burn any format of disc yet.

Doesn't snap into IBM as promised (lenovo T530). Also had to steal the drawer face plate from my old one because one it came with stops it from closing (wrong shape).Had to get the first replaced as it wouldn't read disks. Replacement works as it should.
