Right out of the box I tried to charge the battery, but the charger light is flashing that there is an error. Looked up the charger manual online and see that this particular error means that something is wrong with the battery. So back in the box it goes and back to Amazon. Pretty bummed about this, as I thought I was going to extend the life of my Hoover Linx.

Do Not Buy this product from this seller. I received this battery dead less than 0.3 volts so charger wont charge. Asked for a refund this was their reply,Hi Trevor:Thank you for shopping with us. The DSANKE 18V 4.0Ah BH50000 Replacement for Hoover Linx Battery is a perfect fit and just as powerful as the OEM battery. A fully charged battery lasts just as long (maybe a bit longer) than the OEM battery. At about half the cost, this is a great value for a fully functional replacement. Seems to hold a good charge, but when charging after a while the charger goes into fast-flash "faulty battery" mode. If I take battery out of charger and put back in, charging resumes for a while then again goes to fast-flash. After restarting a third time charging resumes and the charger finally goes into slow-flash "battery-is-charged" mode. Battery then runs the vacuum as long as original battery did when it was new.

My original Lynx battery still works, but I was concerned that it might give out. The Lynx is a great vacuum for most of the work on our mostly hardwood floors and is much more convenient than the plug-in canister.This battery is great. I have used it for a few months and it charges, lasts a long time on a charge, and provides more power than my original battery. At first I thought this was a bad thing, but now I believe that the original one has just gotten a bit weaker.

First one didn’t hold a charge and had a fast flash when on charger. Was replaced and this one holds a charge for 15 minutes, but flashes fast when charged. Not sure why. Keeping because it’s working

I've had my Hover Linx Cordless vacuum since DEC 2015 and id say that the battery was getting real week. could only do the kitchen floor and it would go dead. I tried another battery that said it was the correct one and it didn't charge on my charger so i sent it back. Finally i got this one, it fits, charges and runs the vacuum strong. see you in another 8 years...... Great buy and working great, will update if anything goes wrong.
