I was looking for something that I could keep on our fishing boat for as needed and this pretty much fits the bill perfectly. It does well at keeping you dry from splashes of water (although wouldn't keep you dry in a drenching). It's comfortable and well made. I personally found the fit to be a little tighter than I would prefer in a jacket, so I do wish I had ordered a size up. Happy with it overall, and I enjoy the fact that the logo almost matches my catfish tattoo :)

I did not order this to use when fishing. I'm simply an outdoor enthusiast who will be using it while hiking, boating and for general use. The material is super soft, comfortable, and breathable. At 165lbs, the XLG fits me perfectly. It's plenty roomy and will allow space to wear a tshirt or light hoodie underneath. The adjustable cinching bottom is perfect for people with a short midsection, like myself. It makes it easy to adjust the length to whatever position is most comfortable for any given activity. Having a chest pocket is always a welcomed bonus. And the zippered waist pockets are great for times when you need to secure items. The only thing that would make it better is if there was a zipper at the neck line (rather than snaps) and if the key caribiner was located inside a pocket (rather than dangling from the bottom)...that's just my personal preference though.

This is a very attractive light jacket. It is well made, the pullover fit is nice, and the colors are really subtle. My wife and I kayak fish, and regularly get stuck in showers or go out when its still chilly first thing in the morning. This pullover was perfect for her in this regard, as its lightweight enough not to be sweltering hot if she has to wear it in warmer day rain, but resilient enough fabric that it can be used as a light packable jacket in the mornings. It fit her perfectly based on the size chart, so I would say order to size. The sleeves ARE a touch short for her, but she has that problem in general.Overall a nice jacket at the price point, would put on par with something you'd buy at REI or a similar quality outdoors store.

I think of most anoraks as being waterproof and more jackets than tops, but this version from DSG is merely water-resistant-coated and so lightweight that it takes the chill off my arms but isn't really for warmth. I'm glad I sized up for layering. Even though I normally wear a medium top, I wanted this to possibly wear over a lightweight sweatshirt. The rip-stop fabric (think parachute) makes this anorak easy to roll up and stash, taking up little room in a backpack. Water beads up on the surface-- that may change over time. The mesh lining helps breathability. This DSG anonak has two fairly deep side pockets and a chest pocket, all with hidden zippers. The henley-type front has snap closures. The bottom has a draw cord for tightening and a clip for keys or tools. The styling is boxy, with sides straight down from the armpits; however, it has curved seams down the front to mimic a women's body shape. I don't find the shape flattering, but then again, it's an outdoors pullover. The hood is a great touch, especially for those of us with ear problems with wind or for shielding from water spray/light rain. It has a draw cord for tightening around the face.I don't fish, but I do a lot of outdoor activities. I like that the fish logo is relatively inocuous. (I would never buy this company's hunting gear because it's obviously for hunting, not hiking.) As a frequent traveler, I would take this anonak even when I didn't have any outdoors activities planned since it can be worn just as easily on the street.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

So soft and moves well with you. Not stiff or crinkly at all. Lightweight but wind and rain resistant. Rolls up really small for easily packing away. Pockets and drawstring waist for a tighter fit. Can’t say enough good things about this!

I just love this fishing jacket from DSG! I got the medium; I’m 5’3” and weigh right around 140lbs but have had four kids so I don’t exactly look fit, but you wouldn’t really know it in this super flattering jacket! It’s thin, lightweight, but offers DWR coating, so it’s moisture resistant and dries quickly. My favorite thing about this jacket (aside from the perfect, but roomy fit) is the drawstring with cord fastener. This keeps breezes out, but also allows you to adjust the fit to your liking. I also love the hidden chest pocket!Highly recommend this fishing jacket, even if you don’t fish!
