These work perfectly on my ‘03 Tacoma. They are the perfect length, and don’t have any slop or play in them. This is a high-use item, and needs to get swapped out every 5-6 years if you’re regularly in your truck’s bed often. The price is right, for OEM quality.

These went on my truck in a breeze. The plastic cable coating on the originals had cracked in a few places allowing the metal cable within to rust and leave stains on my white Tacoma. These replacement are not the exact same size as the originals. They are slightly longer. However this did not affect the float of the tailgate over the bumper with the tailgate still safely hovering as it should.Another positive difference between these and the original is the solid black finish. The originals had bare metal at the connection points where these are solid black. I like that.
