Update: This is supposed to be a DMW-BGG1 replacement. It does not work with the G95D. The control rings do not work. The buttons work fine. the BGG1 is compatible with the DC-G95D.It is being returned.Very impressive build quality. Fit was perfect for my Lumix G95. I have only had it for about 1 hour and I am impressed. Let's hope it stands up to some good use soon.Updates to this review are forthcoming.

I bought this for the G95 and discovered that the other reviews are correct and the dials do not function, but the buttons do. Seeing I bought this for the extra battery capacity I’m OK with that.

Purchased this for my Panasonic Lumix G95 and it fits perfect. Used to buy original Panasonic brand Battery Grips for my cameras until someone told me to try this one. Quite honestly I have a hard time telling the difference to this one. Everything works great and the camera detects it as a BG just fine. I highly recommend to give this aftermarket grip a chance, it didn't disappoint me and for a tenth of the price of a brand grip, what's not to like? In my opinion it's a great grip, has a good feel, works like a charm.

Use 2 for my G85s for wedding video. I can with 2x1600mah aftermarket batteries record 4k for 3.5 hours straight. Absolutely awesome reliability and build quality is not perfect, the dials feel a bit cheap, but function perfect.

Works great very nice build quality. I cant tell its not Oem. except not all the buttons function with the camera but scroll wheels feel nice and sturdy. a great buy even with the menu button not functioning.

Like others wrote, this is a very well made unit, feels great in your hands, and the controls operate very well. Placed on the G85, the combined unit is a hot unit, indeed! Still smaller and lighter than any full frame. But impressive and looks/feels very pro (which I am).The remote is a great addition. It is of the flimsier ilk, not very pro. But as a pro, if it breaks I will just buy a new one. It came in really handy doing some youtube self video work. It allowed me to start and stop recording while standing on set.NOW THE PART TO READ!!!Soon after getting the G85 I realized the battery life really paled compared to my old DSLR. But I ordered more batteries and got over it. A few months later I noticed the battery was dying with little to no use, in just a couple of days. Then literally overnight. EVEN WITH THE CAMERA OFF!So I contacted Panasonic for repair. It was determined though, that the camera was fine, and the grip was the issue. I realized that I was not careful to turn the grip to OFF. It is the same on/off slider I had on a 3rd party (Velo) grip for my Canon, which never had any effect on battery (only on the vertical controls being enabled or not). But I realized that this unit had a remote, and that may make a difference.When I started turning the grip to OFF, I made an improvement, but still was fickle, so I contacted the support for DSTE, the maker of the unit. I have to say, their response was prompt, polite, and they immediately offered to ship a replacement. It arrived a few days later. MIND YOU: THIS WAS ALL MONTHS AFTER WARRANTY.Now, I have not had a chance to test the replacement. But as no one else mentioned this issue,I'm going on record here to assume all will be fine. And I want to applaud the company for, A) a such well made product (even with a hiccup or two), and B) great customer support. I would buy from them in a heartbeat.

This battery grip is really good. The buttons and wheels are sturdy and easy to control. Both the hard plastic and soft rubber skin are very nicely done. The grip feels nice in the hand. It doesn't feel like cheap plastic like some grips I have bought in the past. It fits perfectly to the G85. The remote controller simply works reliably. All this for $40. It's a bargain. I can't imagine why anyone would need a factory grip for 350 dollars.

Handgrip works flawlessly, remote is an added benefit. Looks and operates like a Panny original at 70% lower price. Adds a greta feel to the camerta, and the ability to swap a used battery in the grip without stopping (camera switches to battery in camera). Be sure to set in camera menu to 'use battery in grip first.'
