I mounted these dual horns under the hood of my John Deere tractor. I can get the attention of others while I am mowing the field. One of the horns has the low note sound, the other is the high note sound. Together, they are loud like the cars and trucks of my youth.

Installed these on my truck, individually. Really cool.

These are basic plastic horns and while nicely produced items, maybe not the most durable... depending how much shock and vibration they are subjected to. I'm not sure they will hold up as well as the old cast horns. Who can know this soon.

I was worried these would sound like those high pitched horns which make a wimpy beep that came on Japanese vehicles in the 1990s and earlier. Not so, these have good sound and are loud. These universal horns are an excellent replacement for the dying wimpy ones on my (Japanese) vehicle. For the price of just $13.50 when ordered, these area steal. The installation is fairly simple, but there are no instructions so you'll need to know what you're doing. There's no labeling on positive or negative terminals either and I have no idea of that even makes a difference in this application. The supplied blue splices are actually one size too large for the horn wiring, but this will accommodate your vehicle's wiring if it has larger gauge. The proper splices would be red in this application. I doubled over the horn wire into itself for crimping to ensure proper thickness (gauge). All the supplied wires have terminal lugs which need to be cut off, at least on the positive end to properly splice to your existing wiring. I expected this for a universal horn so it's not an issue. Additionally having the terminal lugs will accommodate alternative ground locations without needing to crimp if you wish.

I ordered these horns to use on our tender (little boat) to get the attention of larger boats that like to zoom close by and give us a big dangerous wake. Most boaters that own fast boats are very discourteous in that way.The horns arrived exactly as they appear in the ad and they both work. One being a slightly higher frequency than the other. The steel on both is painted and should last a while in non-salt water environments and the snail itself is plastic.I do not have a sound measuring device to confirm the 110db so will have to take their word for that, but the horns work well, appear to be well made, and are certainly priced very competitively at $13.50.all the bestdr
