I was totally surprised how fast this tire was delivered, ordered on Sunday, received on Tuesday. I used it on a trip fron Oklahoma to California to Arizona to ride the New Mexico back trails and back to Oklahoma on a loaded up BMW1200GS. It made quite a bit of noise at 75 mph, but was stable. Unfortunately I didn't lower the air pressure for the one mile of dirt I found myself on and a deep sandy wheel rut dumpted me hurting my knee and I didn't get much use of it on trails. 3000 miles took over half it's tread on highways, much better than I had expected.

An excellent tire for the dirt, mud and gravel roads.DOT legal, and almost as good offroad as the full-on dirt-only knobbies. On the street, they handle just fine for casual use, but pavement kills them in the long run, as they are not designed for street use (rubber is too soft)Better to have a knobbie on the street, than a street tire offroad though.

I just put the second D606 on the front of my DRZ400S. For me to go with this tire again obviously indicates that it worked very well for me. I put nearly 4,000 miles on the first (which was too many actually, should've been replaced after 3,000ish). I do pure 50/50 riding in Virginia, which is everything from paved curvy mountain roads, to hard pack, gravel, mud, creek beds and bare bedrock. This tire has performed beautifully across the board. I can hang on the road with street bikes on curvy roads, and get great traction in the dirt and ruts.I also run the D606 on the rear (I run the largest size they make on my DRZ), and that tire is also exceptional both on and off road, and wears very well also. I got around 3,000 miles on the rear, but the middle was just about worn flat at that point.

I get better traction in the sand, and the street use seems fine as well. Sorry, it got cold outside... no report on longevity.

I got this tire 800 miles ago expecting it to last at the least 4k miles, I'm not hard on my motorcycle at all as I want my bike and tires to last as long as possible. Nope this tire is bald and ready to blow out after 800 miles. I for sure will never buy this tire again! Do your self a favor and spend the extra 50$ and get your self a quality tire with good ratings. 800 miles is unexceptable in my eyes and very dangerous.

I bought a set of these based on a recommendation from a friend and am pretty much satisfied, other than being super-sketched out by sand now. I drive a DRZ400S, mostly offroad, to work. I had a set of OHV tires but decided to be legal so I bought the 606s. I'm used to going through sand drifts and washes without letting off of the throttle, but the first time I did that with the 606s, I tank slapped horribly and almost went off of the road into a burm. If you're planning on riding in sand, you might as well be driving with slicks. These tires are great on the road (loud though, of course), corner really well, and are excellent on hard terrain. Be warned about sand though.
