We actually need this for a relentlessly destructive cat. She has to be kenneled at night and is scratching up the wood kennel door. This looks nice and is more durable than the other options we’ve tried.It has adhesive strips already on the back, making it an easy install.It’s thick enough to be completely rigid, not flimsy at all.It’s a decent size, I think it would be helpful to be little longer and wider, or have different size option, especially for bigger pets.I think one would have to judge carefully the application and size of pet to make sure that this will function properly. It deters our cat since it can’t be shredded, so it functions well for us.I tried to picture our unused guard in a decent lighting to show the color….hard to tell but it’s a nice muted brushed gold color.
