This is a five- star briefcase. So why the three stars you ask?A product's description should be accurate, clear, and honest in conveying the product's attributes. This particular product's written description is anything but.I have no issues with a product clearly represented as pu leather. But when it's 'leather' in one sentence, 'pu leather' in another, and 'artificial imitation leather' in yet another, I have to wonder 'who wrote the description and did ANYBODY proof the final copy?

I've seen a lot of people with briefcases, luggage and other types of cases that use the three number dial style security system. Most of the users leave this at 0, 0, 0, instead of setting a combination so most times the case is unlocked. The issue here is if you leave it at three zeros instead of two individual latches to release there is one button right under the handle. If pressed when at the combo it pops the two spring triggered latches. The case is perfectly fine if the code is not at open, but since a lot of people tend to leave it unlocked it can be a hazard. Getting bumped for instance in a crowded street, airport, or train station, it's way too easy to hit that latch release. The case can fall open dumping the contents. You need to remember to spin the code at least by a digit to make this safe.Aside from that which will not be a problem for security aware people, the case is very good. Padded leather outside and lots of internal features. A fold out folio, a button latched pocket, three pen holders, and a zipper pouch for documents. You could probably use the small pocket for a basic cell phone but not quite wide or long enough for some of the top-of-the-line big phones today. The main case will fit a larger phone loosely, and you could have a tablet, or thin laptop in the main well or the folio. The interior is nicely lined. Has steel hinges to hold the case open for access to the contents.I don't know what recycled leather means, but it looks new to me, the hand crafting is great as I could find no flaws in the stitching or overall construction. It's also treated to be water resistant, so if you have to take it out in the rain it won't get water spots. The handle seems strong enough to hold a large suitcase so it's not likely to break. Great for businessman, lawyer, engineer, or office personal who deals with documents. That it will hold a laptop is a good thing as it's less likely to be a theft target when carrying it around. Recommended.
