Wick was too big even tho it listed my heater. I could turn it up but it would not go back down when the heater tripped.

It was a perfect fit for mega heat 230. The heater is burning great and I can barely smell it now. I will say that the line to know where to install the new wick was not correct. Technically it doesn’t matter where it goes you’ll just have to adjust the knob more to compensate.

This wick works perfectly - - no more smoking at startup or shutdown. Inserting the wick into the metal ring was easy (be careful of the sharp points). The more difficult part, or at least much more time consuming, is the disassembly of the heater to allow installation of the wick. With this new wick I'm determined to be more diligent about doing the recommended "dry burns" to extend the life of the wick.

The wick was easy to install and works well with my kerosene heater. This is must for me here in Alaska, as my have to use this as secondary heat source, it the power were to go out.
