DustHalt is a product developed to provide a safe, effective, and low-maintenance form of dust control to protect the health and happiness of horses and riders alike.

Dust Halt is a pet-friendly footing additive that helps coat your arena material to bind dust to your footing. Dust Halt accomplishes this by giving your dust a negative charge, attracting it back to your footing without causing clumps or excess water retention.

Due to this innovative technology, a single application of Dust Halt lasts for up to 16 months, making it a low-maintenance choice for arenas of all sizes. Simple application by hand.

Prep footing

Moisten footing if dry as slight moisture is all that is needed.

FOR APPLICATION

If the footing is dry, DustHalt will fall through the footing to the base and be difficult to activate. If footing is too wet – it is difficult to mix into the footing.

Groom the top surface of the footing

NOTE: Do not harrow or groom more than 1” to 1.5” deep.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS

Set spreader to smallest hole. Spread instructed amount on your arena surface using a handheld broadcast seeder or large

rubber tire push spreader.

Lightly groom the surface – ideally no deeper than 1”.

Fully Soak to the base. Soak the footing in a way that you do not puddle, but ensure footing is fully soaked. Groom vigorously to base.

Water - Wait & Ride!

READY TO RIDE

Following Day: Sprinkle the surface of footing with water.

You will not need to water as much or as long as when you installed.

Vigorously groom the footing to complete the application process.

Time to go and ride!

Installation and Maintenance

Preparation	Moisten, but do not soak, the arena footing. The footing needs to be slightly moist to “grab” the product and prevent from drifting. If the footing is dry, the product will fall through the footing and be difficult to dissolve and work into the footing.
1.	Groom arena footing to a depth of 1. between 1” and 1.5”
2.	Distribute the recommended amount of product onto the arena footing using a hand-held broadcaster set at the SMALLEST HOLE for best results.
3.	After distributing the product on the arena surface, groom the arena footing to a depth between 1” and 1.5”. This “sets” the product into the top surface of your footing.
4.	Fully soak the arena with a reliable, steady source of water. Soak the arena footing to the base without pooling water or flooding an area.

5.	For best results, stay off arena footing for 8-12 hours and let the footing “rest”.
6.	After the footing has “rested” - lightly water the arena footing and thoroughly groom to the base.
7.	Your arena footing will require a small amount of product every 3-4 months. This will replace the product which biodegrades. Plan on adding 20% of the original amount on a 3 to 4 month basis. The time between adding extra product may vary based on the type of footing and usage.
8.	For best results, install ONLY the recommended amount of product.
9.	Do not let the arena footing completely dry out before adding water. Maintain a regular watering and grooming schedule to have best results.

I’m so glad I found this online. It’s 10x better than the liquid dust suppressants. Our area is super dry and we hardly get any rain. It’s a nightmare trying to water to keep the dust down and when we do it’s expensive and VERY time consuming.This is exactly what we were wanting. It was easy to apply and worked right away. I definitely will be using this moving forward.
