It's firmly supported by a 1/2" rod that conveniently slips into any DW TB12 floor tom bracket (10.5mm rod is also included for PDP tom brackets) and its unique rope drive feels natural and effortless. It boasts standard 5000 Series features such as a Delta ball bearing hinge, slotted stroke adjustment and 101 2 way beater. Add one to a 16" or 18" floor tom for an alternate wide open tone.

This pedal worked well, however after only a few practice sessions (a total of maybe 6 hours of playing), the rope that goes from the foot pedal to the beater is frayed to the point of breaking. I returned this pedal as I can't trust it to bring on gigs-looks like it can go any minute. A nylon rope or something stronger is needed for professional play. Very disappointed.

Who needs a bass drum with one of these and a vintage Slingerland floor tom laying around. I'm more of a guitar player so YMMV. If you live in a small space and just want a smaller kit, worth checking out.

DW does it again- was able to modify my existing jungle kit to 3 pieces. Installed the pedal on my 14" floor tom, used a boom cymbal stand, clamped on a 10" tom, used my piccolo snare, and hi hat stand. Topped it off w/ mini hi hats and 10" splash cymbals. For bigger gigs, can upgrade to my usual bass drum (18" tom), sensitone snare, and bigger cymbals. I didn't have to buy a whole new jam or cocktail kit.

This pedal is worth the money I paid for it. I had to modify it to work with a higher set floor tom but it works great and is a solid little pedal.
