This is just like the DWSMRKC15K End Clamp, except on the leg/through portion of the clamp it tightens with a hex screw instead of a T-handle. I suppose some drummers might find it inconvenient to have to tighten/loosen that one side using an Allen wrench. Though let's be honest, the ground level horizontal leg portion is probably the least re-positioned portion of any drum rack. For the most part with drum racks, usually the connecting clamp remains on one of the two tubes after break-down. Thus the hex-tightened clamp can stay on place while the easily operated T-handle section can be removed. The low-profile of the hex screw also makes the setup look that much more streamlined, and makes for one less handle that be accidentally bumped loose.I suppose the only real downside is that I don't feel I can get as much torque using an Allen wrench as I can with a T-handle, so in the back of my mind I know that it isn't clamping as tightly as it could be... though in combination with a memory lock I have yet to feel the clamp slip.
