I should have expected that these would be cheap based on the price. They are fairly soft and the edges crumble easily. But if you need brushes that you are willing to change regularly, it's a pretty good deal. If you need brushes that would replace original, then you should probably look elsewhere, and expect to pay $5 minimum each.

These were for a 1/2 HP DC motor I have. The brushes fit perfectly, but I had to trim the brass backing which was easy to do. For the price these are a great deal, and you get 4 so it;s even better.
