These are great fans and exactly what you need for brushless upgrades. But keep in mind, this ONLY works with motors the have grooves cut in the casing. If your motor lacks ribs, you'll need a fan system with a heatsink. Oh, and you may need to cut away part of your transmission housing or else switch over to a metal case to make room for it. Will NOT fit stock traxxas gearbox.

I wrote a longer review for the 1/8 scale version of this, but these are good enough that I use them on 5 different cars/trucks. I haven't found a better cooling solution for under $25. Great product!

I gave it two stars for the thought. The design and execution are questionable. The fan isn't impressive and the shroud, though good looking, by design, locks the heat around half of the motor it's on, if it fails, all the heat builds up under it and can't get away from the motor. Remember, if your motor overheats, chances are it's going to take the ESC with it. It's really a shame because it's really good looking. I just don't have that kind of faith in a cheapo plastic Chinese product, especially with a no name Chinese fan on it. I realize Chinese is the nature of the beast, but no point in asking for trouble. I have several coolers on open air aluminum heat sinks. I think I'll use those instead.
