Perfect item to use for a access panel that has to be in plane sight. Solid material, printable and slim design.

Very easy to install, just cut out the hole and glue it in. I didn't like the white color (very blue/white) so I sprayed it a warmer white. Worked great.

Other than the hinge breaking easily, the installation went smoothly on a ceiling. It looks nice and once painted, it should be almost unnoticeable.

I had my drywall cut downstairs to access the upstairs bath/shower drain. I decided to place this panel up instead of sheet rock after the repair was made. Thank goodness!!! The leak wasn’t corrected and water spewed out of the panel. I was able to open it and have the problem fixed by a different plumber. The surrounding sheetrock did not get wet.

A water leak from the kitchen caused damage to the ceiling in the basement. Instead of doing a drywall patch it made sense for an access panel to easily get to the water lines in the ceiling. The panel needed to blend into the ceiling and the metal ones are heavy, have a locking latch, and noticable. This panel was lightweight, thin, and the door clips securely at 4 places on the frame. Once the opening was squared and cut to size, we used a construction adhesive and clamps to secure the frame to the ceiling while the adhesive dried. After the clamps were removed, we caulked the edges and repainted. The panel blends right in with the ceiling. The panel door is secure and clips into place. If you need an access panel that is lightweight and accessed in infrequently, this is a good bet.

So I just installed this panel the other day… panel in my opinion is a bit cheap and it is a bit hard to remove the center opening panel without breaking any of the clips once installed. I wouldn’t recommend, I would go with a much sturdier panel.
