I have a TON of pins I collect on my travel backpack and I freaked out when I lost one because those cheap-o tab backers kept popping off. I saw the style that needs an allen wrench, but that would have taken forever and been a nightmare considering all my pins are attached in a small front flat pocket of my backpack. So, I decided I'd try these. 3 trips now, and nothing loose or moving or lost. I've tried to purposefully be a bit rough shoving my pack under airplane seats and whatnot too. These are so much easier to attach and they do not let go!The Only downside is that if you have a heavier pin that does not have multiple pins on the back (like my flapjack pancake octopus) it will spin freely and twist all about. I think it's fine and does not bother me but it's worth mentioning.

Absolutely love these and how stable they are, bought a lovely pin a few months back with a backer like these and decided to look for more on their own. The pins are super difficult to take off until you know the trick to making them come off easy. If you pull up on the top of a pin-back not attached to a pin yet, it'll pull up and out a little. It's not as simple to do when the pin is attached. So, to remove, push the backer down onto the pin so the pin can 'push' the top out, sort of like pitting an olive or cherry.

Great quality, a little difficult to remove depending on the pin but so far after years of using them (this is my second purchase) i have yet to have one get 100% stuck (i have some pliers i use to grip them and get them off if i cant just get it with my fingers). I also havent lost a single pin, once they're on they're on and you can show off your collection worry free.

I ordered three packets and all three only had 49 backs. Small discrepancy, maybe, but I use a lot of these and every missing one is one I paid for and didn't get. The backs themselves seem fine.

Very easy to use, just slide on to pin until it clicks and they do not come off easily... Been using them for a solid month now... No issues!

I bought this a while ago to replace the small, plastic backings that usually come with pins. I love to put pins on my backpack but the plastic backings do not lock, and I've had pins fall off before (either naturally or by getting pulled on a little bit). Because of that, a friend of mine gifted me some locking backings (around 5-6) and I loved them, so I decided to go on Amazon and buy more.These pins work great, and I appreciate the different colors so that I can match the backings to my pins and know which pin is where by matching the color scheme of my pin to its backings. Additionally, the locking mechanic works really well--I can tell for sure no pin will ever fall off, even if it is pulled on. However, these backings can be pretty hard to get off if you just use your fingers, so I've taken to using the file of my miniature Swiss army knife in order to pull the backing off. You have to lift the little mechanism for it to unlock, but I just don't have the strength, and it'd probably break my nails if I tried to use those. Furthermore, although I haven't used all the backings a few of them have not wanted to lock onto my pins for some reason so I have just dropped them back in the package and used a different one. I don't know if the backing itself is flawed or maybe I just didn't use them at the right angle, but I've had trouble getting maybe 3-4 of them (in both colors) to lock. Still, there's so many that I haven't really viewed this as an issue.Overall, I'd say these are pretty good pin backings, definitely good for pins that might get caught on things because of their location (like a backpack). They are very tall though so they probably wouldn't work well on shirts, and might get caught on notebooks etc if you are not careful. However there are inside pockets in my backpack so I'm not worried about it.

I ordered these for pants that I wear. Those cheap clasps Sandpoint do not hold. These work great, but he used to be only available from Jewelers. I ordered both silver and gold tone which should take care of all my pins.

I bought these to try since I am tired of the back falling off my daughter's girl scout pins. If she loses the pins, I need to replace them ($3-5 each). These work great. They are a pin to get off, and that's the point! I liked them so much, I shared the extra backings with other moms in our troop, and I bought another 50 pack.
