Suggested installation steps.
1. Cut the top of the boot to fit the diameter of the pipe. Start out a little smaller and trim to a tight fit.
2. Form the flexible aluminum collar to fit the metal roofing panel profile around the pipe.
3. Trace the outside edge of the collar with a pencil to show where to apply the sealant.
4. Apply sealant to the inside of the circle.
5. Set the collar into the sealant and install fasteners into the collar 1 inch apart. This ensures the sealant will make a water tight bond between the bottom side of the collar and the to of the roof panel.
6. Install the stainless steel clips onto the seam of the boot by squeezing the clip with your fingers or a pair of pliers. Clips should be about 1/2 inch apart.
7. Apply a bead of sealant at the top cut edge around the pipe.

3 months later . . . Some dang critter tore the whole thing off. Finding only one small section on ground. Complete mystery! Ugh

I used this around the secondary electrical service that went through the roof---overhead power line. Worked like a champ.

Works great, does what it's supposed to. It saved my butt getting around a mains power conduit The only reason I knocked off a couple of stars is because it is way expensive for what it is.
