About this item

  • OUR MOST USEFUL WOODEN UTENSIL FOR KITCHENS. It's a pancake flipper, an egg spatula, a wood skillet scraper, a beef chopper, a garlic crusher, and a wooden bench scraper. These are just a few of the things you'll find yourself busting this utensil out for.
  • THE EGG SPECIALIST. People come back to us again and again to tell us how great these short wood spatulas are for eggs. The sharp flat front lifts a wide path of eggs so they can cook instead of burn. Slide the scraper right under half of your omelet and fold it over in one piece.
  • ROCK SOLID. I'm 6'2" and 190 lbs. I have purposefully tried to break these before and I can't come close. That's why they make the perfect garlic crusher, kitchen scraper, and wooden cooking utensil. The half inch thick hand rounded tail end is comfortable to hold when you are cooking like you mean it!
  • ETHICALLY SOURCED WOODS. At Earlywood, we use only ethically sourced, sustainable, and all-natural materials. Each of our woods is carefully hand selected for quality, aesthetics, and longevity. Our scraper is available in four woods.
  • HANDCRAFTED IN AMERICA WITH LIFETIME WARRANTY. All our wooden utensils are hand crafted here in Montana, USA and are covered by a lifetime warranty. That’s how strongly we stand by their quality. Washing by hand is the recommended product care for longevity.

The shape feels good for handling, and I love having a wood utensil to use with our pans. The scraping of metal on metal just feels horrid. I could see myself using this when baking to manipulate dough as well. Overall, pretty happy!

I bought this while working at a butcher shop making crepes for beef wellingtons. It came in very handy, easy to clean, and found it very useful for many other projects. It's pricey for a piece of wood, and I'm afraid I may do something to damage it, but in all it is a great tool!

Griddle scraper for ceramic pitboss griddle. Works great and doesn't harm the finish.

I’ve waited for this to come back in stock. Definitely worth the wait. Quality is exceptional and feels great in the hand. Now if their other products would be restocked I’d get those too!

Better for someone with bigger hands as the handle is rather wide.

One of those kitchen items that gets plenty of use. Took some practice but it has become comfortable, and works well to flip and turn items, move sauteing veggies around in a pan, scramble eggs, etc. Good idea to not let it soak, and to hand wash. I like it.

High quality and I would love it if it wasn't so small. It's not making it to the bottom of my dutch oven without bringing my hand with it.

I never thought I'd like wooden cooking utensils, but maybe that's because I'd mostly seen cheap, porous wood things that looked like they would fall apart in my food. But, I was sick of plastic and wanted to try something new. I am so glad I did. This is so smooth and sturdy. It is my go-to for cooking eggs, chopping up ground meat (especially since it's often partially frozen and I don't want something that will bend), scooping up cookies or biscuits, and scraping anything that gets stuck to the pan, among other things. It did take a little adjustment using something that is completely straight and not with an angled handle, but it really wasn't as challenging as I thought it might be.I've had it for almost 4 years now and it still looks great. I was worried about the upkeep, but it's not a hassle at all. I just give it a quick rinse, scrape anything off with a sponge, if necessary, and dry it after each use, which takes less than a minute. It came with a little scouring pad and directions to buff it occasionally and add a little oil, which I do, but really not that often. I've never paid attention to exactly how often, but it's on the order of months in between. Just when I feel like it's starting to look a bit dull and I have the time. For reference, I don't use it daily as some might, but I do use it multiple times per week. This is definitely a purchase I did not regret and would recommend to anyone. I also love that it was made by an ethical small business in the USA. It feels good to buy a great product from a company close to home that I feel like I can respect.

This is a nice quality utensil that will last.Unfortunately, the one I got was flawed and had a split along the grain on arrival.looks like the grain was at the wrong angle and not lengthwise hence the split.A genuine flaw so can't really complain about the quality and would recommend.returned to company.

A great, really diverse tool; well crafted, highly aesthetic, and just looks really good when coupled with Earlywood's other spatulas and spreader. Apart from knives, they are by far my most used utensils.

Our first spatula broke a corner off on first use, which was disappointing as the product is beautiful. Amazon.au didn’t respond to any of our emails but Annie at Earlywood was super responsive and sent us a replacement immediately, even though they hadn’t fulfilled our order directly. Really appreciate the amazing customer service and look forward to using this lovely spatula.

The wood is beautiful, it has some reassuring weight to it and the edge is thin so great for flipping. Even came with a scotch-bright. Apparently they also plant trees to keep it sustainable.
