Haven't tried it yet but it fits nicely on the 7/8" shaft of my Auger, which is difficult to find, and apparently uncommon

I bought this to connect to my handheld landscape posthole digger to make planting bulbs easier. Althought it is very beefy, the deign is pretty poor. First off, the connection hub that fits onto the digger is WAY oversized. This causes the auger to flop around when you're not actually using it, and requires you to be vigilant to make sure it's drilling straight. But the biggest problem is that the design of the tip is terrible. There arene't enought threads to pull it into the soil, and the cutting teeth don't work very well. I found that even in pretty rock free soil that the auger simpley doens't want to drill unless you are pushing on it with all your weight. With the floppiness of the hub, this make drilling holes much more difficult than it should be.

This bit goes through all but the hardest hard pan soil layer. Appears to be very well built.

I worried about damaging the bit by hitting rocks and tree roots. It held up great, no damage. I drilled 31 holes, 24”-28” deep, 1/2 of them hit rocks or tree roots. Well worth the money!
