I had to make some copper shims to get my 4 gauge wire to tighten up. Testing at 65 amps for an hour and the wire got up to 130°F which was a fair bit hotter that the rest of the wire. I blame the connection method, so I am going to replace this with a fuse that takes crimp on ring terminals.

Ok, so I purchased my second Rockford Fosgate Dual Amp Wiring Kit, and just as before, the fuse holder / supplied fuse were incompatible. The "installer" around the way tried to sell me a fuse holder for $40, minus the fuse, and it wasn't nearly as well manufactured as the Earthquake ANL Fuse Holder. The Earthquake is very well built, and it comes not only with a fuse installed, they even provide allen wrenches to tighten the screws on your power cables and fuse. Can't beat the quality for the price.

It might sound ridiculous to say this, but this fuse completely changed the sound in my car. I was running a cheap mANL fuse (100A) through a cheap holder, and it didn't blow, but the holder started to melt under the hood of my car. This thing looks and feels kind of cheap, but it holds up well under stress. Comes with the tools needed to install the power wire and fuse, and a fuse already hooked up.If you're putting a few hundred into a sound system in your car, pay the extra few bucks to get a good fuse and fuse holder rather than the cheapo Amp Install Kit fuse holder they all come with...

Works great, does its job. The only problems I can think of are that the plastic casing seems cheap and the wire holes are designed specifically for 0-gauge or wider wire, but a 100A fuse isn't enough if your setup needs wire that big.The 4 gauge wire in my main line just barely stays put in the giant holes.

Seemingly a fairly high quality peice. I purchased this to protect the circuit feeding the inverter that I'm installing in my truck. Nice gold plated terminals, heavy duty lugs, and even comes with the required allen wrenches. Reasonably well built/machined, but I worry about the clear plastic cover. It simply snaps into place, and seems as if the clear plastic will get brittle and crack after a few heat cycles under the hood of a car. We'll see how it holds up, but I'd recommend mounting it in as cool of an area as possible. It also does have a slight "boy-racer/ricer/tuner" type look which I can't stand.... but it's under the hood and won't be visible. As long as it works well, who cares what it looks like?

I'm no expert on these things, but it seems solid with good connectors. I have this in my 2012 Camry, mounted on top of the fuse box. I like that it comes with the fuse and the allen wrenches.

Great high quality fuse holder. It came with two allen wrenches and a 100 amp fuse. Appears well made. Perfect for my solar powered shed project to protect my power inverter. Love it.

its a very nice fuse holder and you can deffinitley see the good plateing work done on the metal just wish it wasnt platinum on top because platinum isnt as conductive as gold but i guess since its over the triple plated gold im not sure if it works better or not just know gold is the most conductive. i love the option to use either 4 or 0 gauge just by slipping out this little metal ring adapter.
