I’ve got quite a large tear to deal with, and I’m not entirely convinced this glue on its own will be enough, but I’m willing to give it a go.The glue itself is easy to apply and works well on both smooth and flocked PVC.It’s definitely better suited to small punctures or awkward spots where a patch might not work. That said, it’s not a quick fix – you’ll need to allow time for it to cure. Also, applying it takes care – if glue gets into the puncture, the sides might stick together. I have a double air bed that had a couple of small tears at a seam so I figured this was the ideal thing to test the liquid patch on.I've used similar products in the past with mixed success so I wasn't completely convinced it would work however tears on seams where there is going to be a crease when the bed is inflated are notoriously hard to get a good repair on with patches so this seemed a better option.The bed was already clean so I just gave the area around the tears a good clean with Isopropyl Alcohol applied a good layer over and around the tears and left it for an hour or so.I then added another layer and left it overnight to cure.In the morning I inflated the bed to about 3/4 full and got my GF & her niece & nephew who we were child minding for the weekend to sit on the bed and bounce a bit to see if the patch would give.It held just fine so I took it up to full pressure and tried it again. it still held.It carried on holding all day long while the kids used the bed as a place to lay while watching tv, reading & in the evening playing a board game with them & my GF sitting on it.I left it inflated and stood it on end in a hallway overnight and they gave it a bit more punishment the following day until their mum came to pick them up.Not only did it hold it held extremely well, far better than I'd expected.I also used it to repair a few small holes in an inflatable boat I've had stashed away for a few years and we tested it in a stream down the hill from my flat, it worked well enough on that for the kids to paddle around for about an hour & even my GF had a go. I made a proper secure repair on it later with an actual inflatable boat repair kit so we can use the boat during the summer holidays but it worked very well considering the age of the boat and the fact the patch liquid isn't really designed for that kind of thing.At £7.99 I'd say it's great value and a good product to pick up alongside an inflatable bed purchase, as much as we'd like to hope we won't get any leaks in the real world we all know it's highly probable so it makes sense to have the right stuff to repair it before it's needed.

This liquid repair patch comes in retail packaging and inside you’ll find a 35ml tube of repair glue.This repair glue is designed to repair holes and rips in the PVC or flocked material of an air bed. It cures in minutes and provides an airtight seal within 5 hours. This does depend on the severity of the damage as minor damage would be sorted in a couple of hours. Larger tears will take 24 hours at the most for an airtight repair as this is the time it takes for the glue to fully cure.I haven’t got any damage on any of my airbeds, but I do have an old waterbed mattress which is made from PVC which has a hole in it, so I’ve used that for my testing. The mattress was empty of water, so I just laid it flat to expose the hole and smeared some of this glue over the small hole and left it to do its job. After a couple of hours, I could feel that the glue was set as it wasn’t sticky, so I started to fill it with water. The seal was watertight, so the glue had successfully sealed the hole that was in the mattress. This isn’t the ideal use case for this glue, but it was all I had at hand to properly test the glue with, and it has the same material as what an airbed uses.I was quite impressed with the results as I wasn’t expecting it to work properly as I have always used patches with glue, but this didn’t need any. You just smeared it on and let it do its job. This is perfect for small holes since it can cure in a couple of hours to do a quick repair. My waterbed mattress is still outside, full of water, so the glue has maintained the seal overnight.

Well, I bought this for potential future disaster of my Intex airbed. Thank goodness it is not needed for now. For me, it very much reminds me of my bike tire repair glue. If true, the downside would be that it can only be used once. Afterward, the whole glue would solidify even if you turn the lid tightly. Until I use it, I am happy with this product. A surprise finding is that it was made in Ukraine!

Great product and I will always have this on hand to fix air mattress holes. There is nothing more frustrating than waking up sunk into an air mattress that is slowly losing air. This is an amazing product that I really enjoy - great value for what you get. Just note it does take 5 minutes to seal so this is not an instant fix. Works well and happy to have this on hand!
