This is touted as a good kit to learn basket making . While the weaving is simple the base, handle and the rim are complicated and hard to get to look right. I have made over a dozen baskets from “normal “baskets with the normal rims and bases and I’ve never seen anything like this. I have a friend who has probably made 100 or more baskets and she had never seen anything like this. Also, the basket pictured is a very sturdy looking basket, I believe made with a larger reed than you actually receive. The baskets are really rather flimsy. Their illustrated instructions are very poorly drawn hand sketches (see picture) that are impossible to understand what it is supposed to show. I would never buy this basket again. Needed Easter baskets fast and this appeared to be the best option I could find, now I disagree. I would have paid three times as much to have had a normal basket kit with professional instructions

There is not nearly enough material for 3 baskets, as described. The instructions are to make one basket, complete with precise lengths for each spoke and each weaver. At the very end, it just says “to make 3 baskets, cut your spokes and weavers shorter”. It’s not reasonable. The materials for the basket as designed only make one 4 inch tall basket. False advertising. I would like a refund or to be sent two more sets so my daughters and I can actually make our own baskets, like I had planned. It’s a shame we won’t have them ready by Easter. Who would pay $27 for one small basket, let alone to have to make it yourself!
