After getting our beach umbrella destroyed by winds on our last beach day, we decided to take the plunge and look into a sun shelter. With so many options and such varied reviews, we finally settled on this Easthills Outdoors Sun Shelter and we couldn't be more pleased.First of all, it comes in a compact pouch that is very lightweight and easy to carry on your shoulder with the built-in strap. When you remove it from its pouch, there is another small pouch containing some plastic stakes and nylon rope to help secure the tent to the ground/sand. It takes only seconds to unfold the arms and set up the tent. To secure it more sturdily and withstand the wind, in addition to using the stakes, there are built-in sand bags that you can fill up easily, made with a very strong nylon tarp-like material. One in place, the tent will barely budge during moderate winds. There are also several windows and built-in shades for more privacy, in addition to several large mesh pockets to help hold various items. Storage is plentiful. As far as spaciousness is concerned, my wife and I can easily fit inside (with our shins and feet sticking out of the front), even with a Tommy Bahama beach chair fitting inside. When seating on the floor of the tent, we can even fit our 12 and 9 year olds (partially). We were not looking for a huge tent that was too bulky and cumbersome, so this size suits us perfectly. There is also a built-in zippered mat/porch that you can open and close at your leisure. As far as closing it back up, despite it being slightly tricky to figure out, once you get the hang of it... it actually takes just as long to fold it up and put it away as it does to set it up... no more than a minute or two.We are so happy with our purchase and would highly recommend this make/model for anyone looking for some sun shelter for a beach day. It appears to be of excellent quality, so we hope to be able to use it for many years to come!

As a single woman hurtling towards being 65 years old, I wanted a beach tent that was tall enough for me to sit in on a chair, easy to assemble on my own, and lightweight. This ticks all the boxes! The instructions are clear and well- illustrated. I read them before attempting set-up, and when I came to setting up my tent, achieved it in under 5 minutes. I haven’t used the guy-ropes yet, but the sandbags are holding their own. The tent seems sturdy. It’s certainly roomy, and I am one happy old-ish lady. As I’m a big strapping lass, I found the tent easy to carry, but its sturdiness does mean it is heavier than some flimsier models I have encountered before.

The title of this review says it all. Paid for a new tent, received a clearly used tent which was full of sand and stained. Bizarre.

Great large tent but one rod broke on the 9th consecutive use under normal beach conditions. Easy to assemble and disassemble once you get the hang of packing it up. Very disappointed to find the snapped rod when trying to put it back up. Given the price expected greater quality and life. The bag handle was starting to fray and small holes were appearing. Although not the tent itself not great that the bag used to protect it is so cheaply made. Still waiting for the return to register on the Amazon end after two weeks.

I have bought several beach shelters in the past few years, but this is the best one, by far. It is EXTREMELY easy to set up. They aren't kidding when they say it will take 5 minutes or less. It gives plenty of shade, is light to carry, held up in high winds, and was the perfect size. I was afraid it may be too big from the description, but it was just right for two adult size beach chairs, plus plenty of space for the kids to sit on the floor. Collapsing it and getting it into the bag isn't as easy as setting up, but after 2 times we figured it out. The trick for us was to collapse it with the sand bags/poles still anchored to the ground. This way, once the middle is down you can start systematically folding the poles around the middle column, which works quite well. The first time we took it down we un-anchored it first and it was a windy, crumpled mess. I did need to zip this up to do a quick beach change and although it worked for this purpose, it is rather small inside when zipped up, so keep that in mind if you anticipate using it in that manner. If I had to give any critiques it would be that the window flaps are difficult to roll up and keep up, and that I wish there were a slightly longer overhang on the front, to give more shade earlier in the day. Both these things are minor though and overall I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

I've been researching over a year for a good sun shelter to provide me, my husband and our 2 dogs comfort from this Cali heat when we go on our outings/picnics to parks/beaches. Many of which, were priced for around $120, but saw some reviews stating that these expensive shelters were garbage and a waste of money. That being said, it prompted me to question many of the other lower priced competitors and their quality. I'm a believer of the saying "you get what you pay for" so at this point I was paranoid and became discouraged from purchasing a sun shelter at all.Eventually the weather got so hot that I just gave in and decided to go on a search again; this time for a fairly priced one that wouldn't burn a hole in my wallet; so that in case it failed to meet my expectations, I wouldn't feel robbed about wasting any time and money on a bad product. First off I knew I wanted one that featured a quick and easy one step set up that could also be zipped closed for privacy (so one can change in and out of wet clothes). I ended up choosing this one for it's price, features, and average reviews. As soon as this shelter arrived, I couldn't believe it! Upon first set up it was so quick and easy to use/put away; my mind was blown :OI've had this shelter for about over 2 wks, going on 3 now, and used it a handful of times in different environments. I can only say good things about this shelter. I haven't experienced any difficulties, issues or breakage. It's sturdy and can withstand windy days with the pegs put in, we never have to worry about it flying away or dismantling when we're away from it; set up is a BREEZE, even on a windy day so you can save yourself the time/confusion/embarrassment from any type of struggle you would expect from tents. Its such an awesome shelter, and it's definitely of quality, one of which has exceeded my expectations, especially for the price paid. The size is perfect for our little family. I'm so happy with it I'm considering buying the XL version of this for days I have more guests. Delivery was prompt and arrived without any damage or missing components. If you're not sure what shelter to invest in, I definetaly recommend this one, you won't be disappointed :))

I've never really been a big fan of beach shelters, I like the sun (yes I know it's not good for me). However I now have a little bub and they can't handle the sun and wind-blasted sand, etc. This product really solves the problem. SO EASY TO SETUP - it honestly took me 20 seconds to pop the thing up and chuck some sand in the (velcro-sided) ballast bags. Plenty of space inside, has an extended porch cover, a flap that lays down in front so I can still get some sun. My wife also loves that it zips up fully so she could have some privacy while breastfeeding. The windows are large and all around so you can still get a breeze through. Putting down takes about the same amount of time, 20s. I love that the big they included seems to large for how they have it rolled, but it means it's easy to fit back in without needing to be too pedantic about exactly how it's done. Clearly very well designed and made, great value for money.
