I've ordered other precut kits from material maven and have never been disappointed. The pieces are always cut on mark, easy to follow, and go together very quickly. You do need to use the enclosed photo to help you along. I had one problem with this kit but it didn't change my rating. The photo on amazon is the correct layout however the photo in my kit had an error in the layout. It was an easy fix but a beginner quilter might get a bit confused. Material maven also sells on her website. I'll definitely be buying from her again. Thanx!

I was disappointed at first with the kit when I first received it because the photo gave me the impression that the outer fabrics was also black with a print on it, but when in fact it was solid black. I felt this was misleading advertising and disappointing. I have competed the quilt and must admit is still looks great. The quilt is huge, the blocks went together great, and easy for a beginner quilter or one who is not detailed. Directions were minimal but adequate. Would recommend this product to others but wish the picture was more adequate so others wouldn’t experience a bit of disappointment at this.

It's an okay quilt kit - you really have to puzzle out how to piece the patches together, as there are little to no instructions. Everything was pre-cut, which was nice, but, was still hard to keep it all squared up. Also, it was shipped in a USPS envelope meant for documents, so it was naturally halfway torn to smithereens by the time it arrived.

Excellent quilt kit. I just finished piecing this together. The material included left room for a few mistakes (which I always seem to make) and was cut very precisely so that the quilt turns out very square. One tip is to make sure that you line up the red squares as closely as possible when assembling so that you get that really nice optical illusion effect. This quilt is very sharp looking.

I was very disappointed when I received this quilt. It came crammed in a priority mail envelope that had torn completely open during transport and was enclosed in a cheap freezer bag.The instructions looked like they had just been run through a copy machine and the photo was a faded black and white. My plan was to use this as a gift for my daughter who has just taken up quilting. Thought it would be a great one for her to start with but am too ashamed to give i to her.
